A petition was filed in Lahore High Court asking the court to pass orders for the extension of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.
The petition was filed by Ghazi Ilmuddin demanding the extension of General Raheel Sharif. He claimed that the COAS was successful in minimizing the terrorist activities and should be given an extension for ensuring the continuity of successful operations against terrorists.
The Lahore High Court has accepted the petition for hearing, it should be noted that General Raheel Sharif will be retiring on 28th November.
