There is a common misconception among people that if husband and wife lives separately for more than 4 months than they will become divorced.
Advocate Faiz Syed explained that it was an administrative decision to give holidays leave to soldier after each four months so that they may spend some time with their families. He narrated the whole story and explained that it was about giving holidays and not a law.
But he also explained that if you are working in other country for many years then you should marry there and not in your native country where you spend few days.
