It is being reported that Federal Government has finally decided to remove Governor Ishrat ul Ebad and appoint a new governor. Prime Minister met President Mamnoon Hussain to discuss the issue and have decided to appoint Justice (Retd) Saeed uz Zaman as the new Governor.
Saeed uz Zaman was the Chief Justice of Pakistan from July 1999 to December 2005, he was among those who refused to take oath under Musharraf’s Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO).
ARY News contacted him to confirm the news but he said until now I have received no requests from the Federal Government, if received will accept the offer.
