Nest I/O Alumnus Sameer Ahmed Khan Wins Startup Pitch Competition

Social Champ, a social media management tool created by Nest I/O alumnus Sameer Ahmed Khan, has won the first prize at the nationwide pitching competition at Momentum Conference, held at Karachi Expo Centre on 6th and 7th February. Sameer was one of the 20 applicants selected out of the 120 startups from around Pakistan that were exhibiting at Momentum this year.

Momentum is a conference for digital entrepreneurs and brings together startups along with industrialists, investors, entrepreneurship specialists, and tech leaders. Social Champ is a tool for social media managers designed to improve social media presence, schedule posts, and increase reach across several social platforms.

SocialChamp won the grand prize of PKR 1 million against top 120 startups from across Pakistan.

The digital tool has already been endorsed by renowned marketing professionals and influencers, including Guy Kawasaki, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist and marketing specialist Social Champ is Sameer’s fourth startup, with his previous three attempts failing to stay afloat in Pakistan’s increasingly competitive tech industry. He founded SocialChamp along with co-founders Zohaib Ahmed and Shakir Ghani after incorporating learnings from his first three startups.

Speaking to the media after receiving his trophy from Chairman PTI Imran Khan, Sameer expressed his joy at receiving the prize money and thanked The Nest i/o and Jehan Ara for assisting their startup and providing initial guidance which led them to success.
