Om Puri apologized for his comment on dead Indian Soldier after pressure from Extremist Hindu Party and Media Propaganda.
During a live talk show he said “Who asked him to join armed forces” regarding dead Indian soldier.

A police case has been filed against him on his comments. Though just hours after his statement he apologized for his comment and said “I deserve punishment, not forgiveness. I first apologize to the soldier’s family, I apologize to the whole country and the army”
