An Egyptian Scholar Muhammad Abdullah al-Nasr claimed that he is the Imam Mehdi and asked all muslims to pledge to him according to the hadith of Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
He is a famous television preacher who made this strange statement through his official Facebook page asking sunnis and shias to give their pledge to him and make him the ruler.
People in Egypt are asking that he should be prosecuted according to law for making false claims and fooling the masses.
Dr. Samir Sabir filed a petition against him asking for prosecution, he asked that the cleric should be charged with fraud and contemplation with religion under Articles 336 & 98 of the constitution.
