On the day of All Parties Conference another meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Prime Minister House. In which Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry gave presentation to military and civilian officials.
It is being said that during that meeting there was verbal exchange between DG ISI Rizwan Akhtar and Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
When Foreign Secretary briefed that Pakistan is facing isolation, DG ISI asked what the government should do. To which he said action against Jaish e Muhammad, Lashkar e Taiba & Haqqani network.
DG ISI said government is free to arrest anyone, to which Shahbaz Sharif said that whenever government tries to arrest them intelligence agencies worked to free them. This statement turned the environment in the room quite tense.
