UBL ICAP Sign MoU for Issuance of Co-branded Prepaid Debit Cards

Karachi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) recently joined hands with United Bank Ltd (UBL) for the exclusive issuance of a co-branded Visa prepaid card for the institute’s students and members. This joint initiative will encourage the progression of paperless processing and cashless transactions along with the promotion of the online experience amongst the future corporate managers of Pakistan.

With this co-branded prepaid card, ICAP students will be able to pay their registration and examination fees at the click of a button online on ICAP’s website. ICAP and UBL have already collaborated on upgrading the institute’s web platform to accept internet based payments through UBL’s cutting edge Go-Green Internet Merchant Acquiring initiative.

The MoU signing ceremony for the co-branded prepaid cards took place at ICAP’s Head Office in Karachi on Monday, March 30, 2015. Mr. Feroz Rizvi, COO & Secretary ICAP and Mr. Khurram Rezvi, Head of Digital Banking, UBL, as well as several senior executives from both the organizations were present at the ceremony.

On the occasion, Mr. Feroz Rizvi said, “This partnership between ICAP and UBL is a much needed step towards providing tech based convenience. With ICAP’s diverse student base spread all across the country, this facility will prove to be effective in inculcating paperless processing, while at the same time empowering the students”.

Mr. Khurram Rezvi further added “UBL is a keen enabler of initiatives for the education sector and partnering with ICAP on this project is one such accomplishment. This initiative will provide great convenience to students across Pakistan.”
