Karachi: Mr. Wajahat Husain, President & CEO United Bank Ltd. (UBL) awarded the UBL Colour to Younus Khan during the 2nd One Day International match held between Pakistan and England in Abu Dhabi on 13 November 2015. Younus Khan is now a proud member, and the Captain, of the UBL Cricket Team.
UBL has a rich tradition of being an advocate of sports, especially cricket, in Pakistan. This is manifested in UBL fielding one of the most acclaimed cricket teams in Pakistan’s domestic circuit. 37 UBL cricketers have gone on to play for the Pakistan Cricket Team. This representation includes six Pakistan Cricket Captains who have led the Pakistan Cricket Team to many victories.
On this occasion, Mr. Wajahat Husain said “UBL congratulates Younus Khan on his remarkable achievements in the sport of cricket. He has not only excelled as a batsman but has also led the Pakistan Team to many victories, including the only time Pakistan has won the T-20 World Cup to-date, under his able captaincy. UBL is proud and excited to have Younus as the captain of the Bank’s cricket team”.
