China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is Pakistan’s biggest Economic Investment. The CPEC is divided in two routes, eastern and western.
It has been observed that PML (N) government is concentrating on Eastern Route which passes through Punjab while the major Western route is being ignored.
Major electricity plants are being constructed on eastern routes.
All Political Parties including PTI, ANP, JUI and other nationalist parties of Balochistan have raised questions on government intentions.
Pervez Khattak was informed by Chinese ambassador that western route is not part of CPEC, it is only being used by government to make political parties of Balochistan and KPK happy. So far no major electricity or industrial projects have been started on western route.
