Dr. Rashid Mahmood made alarming statements about honey Bees in Pakistan. He is the Director of Honey Bee Research Institute (HBRI).
He said that the dry climate condition of Pakistan is a threat for honey bees and honey bee production in Pakistan.
He said that because of dry weather and no rain there will be fewer crops and fewer flowers, which directly affect the population of honey bees.
Pakistan produces 10,000 metric tons of honey and exports 1,650 metric tons. The climate change is affecting this production he said.
