Microsoft Pakistan launches Imagine Cup 2020 in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Program.
The programme was launched on Dec 2, 2019 (Monday) with the aim to empower Pakistani students by giving them a global platform to showcase their talent. This platform will give students an opportunity to become more creative and innovative.
Through such events Microsoft aims to support developing technologists, creative personality and cultivate synergistic. This global technology competition helps youth by giving them a platform which becomes the place for emergence of success stories.
Imagine Cup competition gives opportunity to the participants from Pakistan with regional finals in 4 major cities across Pakistan after which the final is held in federal capital Islamabad.
The winners in the regional finals will get the opportunity to visit Islamabad where they will meet people from local industry while demonstrating their projects.
The winning team from finals in Islamabad will get a chance to represent Pakistan in international final where they will compete with global teams from around the world, with the chance to win USD $100,000 prize.
This Imagine Cup reflects Microsoft’s solid interest in Pakistan which will keep on cultivating advancement among understudies through such competitions while also empowering them to change their desire into the real world.
HEC and Microsoft are working in partnership under Education Transformation Agreement which will enhance education through powerful software based tools, improve the efficiency of education systems and will enable student-centric learning.
