Federal Minister for Science & Technology, Fawad Chaudhry attended opening ceremony of Science & Diplomacy Workshop in Jeddah with the collaboration of Islamic Development Bank & World Academy of Science Forum. Scientist & moderators from different Muslim countries attended the workshop.
Fawad Chaudhry met with Nigerian Federal Minister of Science & Technology Mohammad Abdu Ellahi. Federal Minister offered contribution in science & technology between the two countries.
He highlighted the advancement in Information Technology department of Pakistan and informed about the affiliation of population record in one database. Pakistan is also using drone technology for agriculture use, constructing bio parks & increasing agriculture production via Hydroponic Technology, he added.
He also offered to construct Science & Technology University in Nigeria. Fawad Chaudhry invited Federal minister of Nigeria to visit Pakistan, as both countries have friendly relation.
During workshop, Fawad Chaudhry also met with Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Science & Technology of Malaysia Dr. Abdul Hameed Zakari. He said ‘We both can advantage from each other experiment. He also said that on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s advice, Pakistan has increased budget of technology by 600%.
Fawad Chaudhry also invited Dr. Abdul Hameed Zakiri to attend seminar on science which will be held in Pakistan next year saying that both countries will benefit from experiment of technology. He further said, we need to exchange of different delegation for increasing of brotherly relation.
Malaysian advisor responded positively to the invitation of Pakistani minister and further added that ‘We have strong ties with Pakistan”.
Addressing to press conference in Jeddah Federal Minister told that ‘No one is happy with verdict of Musharraf’s treason case.’ Constitutions shouldn’t collide, country can’t run without army intervention and GHQ has important role in country security issues, he added.
Federal Minister highlighted that Islamic development has allotted fund for Science & Technology. He further said ‘We are producing more drugs after the formation of Halal Authority and are also taking Saudi companies on board to work with us for more production of Halal food.’
