A talk by Dr Aziz Ali Najam on Allama Iqbal’ poetry

Karachi: Dr Aziz Ali Najam, former Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University in Gilgit Baltistan, will deliver a lecture on January 27, as part of the Aga Khan University’s Sixth Sense Forum (6sf) lecture series.

Using selected extracts and translations of Iqbal’s poetry, Dr Najam will focus his talk on Asrar-e-Khudi. “Khudi” (ego, self, personality), an innate and divine feeling, is a pivotal theme of Iqbal’s poetry around which revolved all elements of his philosophical thought.

The 6sf – a collaborative lecture series organised by AKU Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Medical College’s Humanities and Social Sciences group – promotes and encourages academic discourse and intellectual conversation.
