I witnessed amazing efforts from all people to create awareness about this campaign; taxi walas, vegetable hawkers & masdij imams made announcements. Some women went in apartments & societies to announce about the vaccines. People on social media also played really big role to make people realize the importance of this little vaccine to prevent big disease.
For a third world country, who is already battling with Polio, the resurfacing of #measles is very alarming pic.twitter.com/x2i0sl9SHn

Here we must not forget to acknowledge the efforts of health workers who performed their duty in far most areas of Balochistan, Sind, KP & Punjab. Reaching children in snowy mountain areas & places like Thar was not an easy task.
Polio drive takes place in every 45 days thus the polio cases in a year has come down to 6 but #measles was reported in 25,000 children which is alarming. This is why government is doing a supplementary Measles drive wherein over 32.5 Million kids were vaccinated till 27th Oct. pic.twitter.com/1j9hrcyIeU

During this health campaign about 32 million kids were targeted. In 2017, number of measles effected kids in Pakistan reached to 6,494. To minimize this number of measles effected kids the recent campaign is indeed a great initiative.
All this vaccination is free of cost.
