Dr. Shahid Masood said that the news was not a leak but it was a feed. He said that it was a lie fed to Cyril Almeida and he was asked to write about it.
He said in Corps Commander Meeting DG ISI Rizwan Akhtar participated though in earlier meetings DG ISI did not participate. He appreciated the participation and said that this issue might have been discussed in the meeting.
On the other hand Cyril Almeida and Dawn stood by their words and said though both the military and government have rejected the news we stand by each word and have confirmed it from multiple sources.
Credible Analysts like Hamid Mir, Wusatullah Khan, Kashif Abbasi and Meher Bukhari all believe that the news leak by Cyril Almeida was true.
