Kaymu.pk has launched its iOS App in Pakistan

Kaymu.pk, a leading online shopping community, has launched its iOS app in Pakistan for iPhone users. Kaymu.pk already has an operating Android and Blackberry app.

The latest app will allow customers to place orders on the go and will help Kaymu reach users who do not have regular access to computers. The app will offer a fast and intuitive navigation, as well as easier buyer and seller account management.

Commenting on the launch of the iOS App, Kaymu.pk’s Country Manager Adam Dawood said, “With 12 million 3G/4G users within 9 months of operation, Pakistan is going to go smartphone crazy. In India major ecommerce players have already started shutting the web version of their site and now only accept orders via their mobile apps. The future of eCommerce is mCommerce and now that we have an iOS, Android and Blackberry app any buyer can place orders on the move, and sellers can also manage their entire online store and inventory.”

The launch of 3G and 4G services in Pakistan has significantly increased the importance of mobile apps and has given rise to m-commerce in the Country. We already have over 12 million 3G subscribers in Pakistan and this number will continue to grow in the coming months. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) states that in 2014 mobile data usage increased by 600 percent; this increase was mainly seen after the launch of 3G services in May/June last year.

The launch of this latest iOS app, along with the already available android app, is part of an attempt to facilitate the growing mobile internet user base in Pakistan. Kaymu.pk’s mobile app, for both iOS and Android users, is available for download through the App Store and Google Play Store here.
