Om Puri said he knows apology is not sufficient and I know I should be punished.
After apologizing for his comment he said I ask that I should be court marshaled. He demanded a constructive and severe punishment for his words.
He said “I Deserve a Punishment, I Am Guilty. And if you don’t punish me then it’s your irresponsibility”. He also said that he will not hire a lawyer and will not defend himself.
Few days ago in the same talk show when asked about the dead Indian Soldier he said “Who asked him to join the armed forces”. After which the Media and Hindu extremists’ parties asked him to be tried in court.
