What is National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) doing?

The government of Pakistan established the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in 2007 to fight disasters and calamities.  The authority was setup with qualified personnel and the latest technologies and equipment.

Ample funds have been allocated for NDMA (Rs. 503,752 billion in 2014) but it failed to carry out its responsibilities.  Most of the funds went to the pockets of bureaucrats and officers of the authority.
