A talk by veteran music composer and actor Arshad Mahmud

Karachi: One of our leading music composer, actor and singer, Arshad Mahmud will deliver a lecture on January 15, 2016 at the Aga Khan University’s Special Lecture Series. Arshad Mahmud has studied both Eastern and Western music extensively, and has been composing music and handling orchestras for nearly 30 years.

He is best known for his acting roles in popular Pakistani TV drama serials such as Aangan Terha and Dhoop Kinare, and the music composition of many popular Ghazals from the poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz to various others.

As part of its commitment to broad based education, Aga Khan University organises and hosts its Special Lecture Series throughout the academic year. These lectures are now a city cultural event in their own right.
