Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the appointment of Azhar Ali as the captain of the ODI team and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed as his deputy. This decision came as big surprise to cricket fans not only in Pakistan but all over the world. The player who was not in the ODI team has come from nowhere and has now been given responsibility of captaincy.
On most of the websites, social media people voted against Azhar Ali appointed as captain of ODI team. Almost 75% were against this decision. Cricket fans are of the view that Sarfaraz Ahmed or Wahab Riaz would have been better choice.
But this type of decision can only be made in Pakistan and only time will tell whether this decision is correct or wrong.
