Researchers at University of Oxford are hoping that soon they will find a new treatment for blind people. This new treatment will be by changing the genes naturally.
Because of Choroideremia each year thousands of people lose their eye sights but now researchers are hoping that they will be able to stop it by gene therapy.
Gene Therapy involves changing the damaged DNA with DNA that are programmed in laboratory after removing the defect that causes blindness.
The news research was published in New England Journal of Medicine which claimed that the treatment in patients lasted for more than four years with only a single injection of genes.
