Social Media Activist, Farhan Virk says that the cyber crime bill was a disaster but after some amendments it is much better than before. But you can’t say that after this bill is passed, social media is entirely secure.
He pointed out Bill’s section 7’s point A and B, these points for the social media activists are the killing of social media. In section 7, it states that the threat is use to coerce, intimidate, overawe or create a panic or insecurity in government.
If a person says ‘Go Nawaz Go’ and the government gets panic, then as per this law that person will be considered as Cyber Terrorist and his sentence will be of 14 years of imprisonment and Rs. 5 Crore surcharge.
