Sindh to Expand Internship and Job Opportunities for Young People

Oct 17, 2026

The Sindh government is contacting more than 100 companies to expand internship and employment opportunities for students and graduates, Sharjeel Inam Memon said.

He said the I Work for Sindh platform aims to connect young people with employers while aligning their skills with market requirements.

According to Memon, the platform has recorded more than 5.19 million visits, with 136,547 candidates registered and 721 companies participating.

A total of 31,270 job opportunities have been posted through the platform, of which 24,766 remain active. Candidates have submitted 473,339 applications so far. These figures represent advertised opportunities and applications, rather than confirmed job placements.

Memon said the government was also focusing on professional development alongside employment. The platform provides access to more than 1,800 internationally recognized short training courses.

So far, 4,620 candidates have completed courses, while another 5,789 are undergoing training in different programs.

The government is also developing a system to automatically add public- and private-sector vacancies to the platform. Initial preparation and implementation are planned over the next one-and-a-half to two months.

A daily job alert service is also being planned to help candidates stay informed about newly available positions.
