Vakeel Online App Launched to Offer Free Legal Assistance

Mar 6, 2025

A new mobile app to provide legal assistance to Pakistani citizens has just been officially launched. Called ‘Vakeel Online’, the app helps connect citizens with lawyers seamlessly through an online portal.

Islamabad witnessed the official launch ceremony of Vakeel Online. Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar emphasized during the launch that the app aims to extend legal aid to even those individuals facing financial constraints. Speaking at the same event, German Ambassador Alfred Grannas expressed his admiration for the substantial public interest the application has garnered.

Minister Tarar further elaborated that the groundwork for this app started in 2020. The Vakeel Online app has already reached approximately 700,000 people across Pakistan, indicating a significant level of public awareness.

Currently, 1,000 lawyers have successfully registered on the app, with a substantial number undergoing a screening process. The app lets you sign up as both a client or a lawyer.

Users can pinpoint lawyers specializing in specific areas, such as criminal, cyber, property, and family law, through the use of search filters. The app also facilitates direct and clear communication through an integrated chat feature, ensuring both lawyers and clients can readily exchange information and clarify case details.

A central, user-friendly dashboard provides a comprehensive overview, enabling efficient management of cases, documents, and consultations for both parties involved.

The platform prioritizes security and confidentiality, safeguarding all data and conversations through robust protection measures, fostering a trustworthy environment for all users.

Vakeel Online is available on both Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and the App Store.
